Art Gathering LA at the Ink N Iron Festival, 2015

Art Gathering LA is the newest and brightest addition to the Ink N Iron Experience. Curated by world renowned street artist Kelly “RISK” Graval, this exhibit includes important contemporary art galleries, so of course La Luz de Jesus was contacted to curate the Grand Salon Ballroom inside the Queen Mary luxury liner along with P32 and Buckshot, who will also be showcasing some of today’s most compelling artists’ works.
Shaun Berke, Mark Gleason, Hueman, Horacio Martinez, Valerie Pobjoy, and Ned Baughman (d.2005) were selected as part of this landmark show.
Outside, there is a 110ft. hard wall along the wharf ending at both sides of the main music stage featuring work by Bates from Copenhagen, Bmike from New Orleans, Marcel, Sonny Boy, Abel, and Risk from LA. When complete it should appear, from a near distant perspective, that the lower portion of the Queen Mary’s hull has been “Tagged”.
In conjunction with this installation, WACKO has a product booth in the heart of the festival near the Kustom Kulture lowrider tent, with a great view of the stage, so be sure to check it out. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
