Rachel Bensimon, a Toronto native now based in New York, embarks on an artistic journey that intricately weaves the innocence and profound intensity of childhood. Trained at The Arts Students League and The New York Academy of Art, her work delves into the psychology of capturing the essence of childhood wonder. Her recent series of portraits depicts girls and young women within imaginary contexts, often adorned with animals, flowers, dolls, bubbles and lollipops in imaginary patterned backgrounds.
