Open Call: Everything But the Kitcshen Sink 2025
La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, California, showcases figurative and narrative artwork and unusual sculptures.
There is no theme for the show as we aim to showcase a wide variety of styles and mediums across the pop-surrealist and lowbrow genre.
The deadline to submit work is MAY 15th, 2025, @ 11:59PM PST.
Please read the guidelines carefully. The Exhibition will take place on July 11th, 2025 and run through August until the 31st, 2025. Artists need to be 18+ years of age to participate.
DO NOT EMAIL IMAGES, PLEASE. ONLY SUBMISSIONS THROUGH THE PORTAL WILL BE REVIEWED.
Abstract expressionism, video or digital art, photography, prints, or conceptual installations will not be accepted. Not to say we don’t enjoy this type of art but it’s just not our thing.”
Guidelines
The deadline to submit work is May 15th, 2025, @ midnight PST.
You may submit up to three artworks for review. Not all artwork submitted may be accepted to accommodate a range of sizes.
Size restriction: Wall hanging artwork must not exceed 300 sq in format (eg 15 x 15 in ) Sculpture must not exceed 4,000 cubic inches (eg 15.75 x 15.75 x 15.75 in). Smaller is better!
Shipping: Artists outside of Los Angeles are responsible for the cost of shipping their work to and from the gallery, including all taxes and duties for international artists.
Ready to hang: All wall hanging artwork must have appropriate hardware fastened to the back. All free standing artwork must be properly balanced.
Artwork must have been made within the 2024 – 2025 Calendar years.
Accepted Artwork: If artwork is accepted, adjustments are not possible.
Acceptance: Accepted artists will be notified After May 15th, 2025 and before May 30th, 2025.
Right of Sale: La Luz de Jesus Gallery will have the exclusive right of sale for exhibited artwork during the period of exhibition and 30 days after the exhibition closes.
Payment: The artist and La Luz de Jesus Gallery split is a standard 50/50 split. If artwork sells, the artist will receive a payment within 30 days after the sale or close of the exhibition.
It is the responsibility of the artist to deliver and retrieve their artwork. ARTWORK NOT RETRIEVED BY 2026 WILL BE CONSIDERED FORFEITED BY THE ARTIST.
Filling out the 2025 Juried Submission Form
- Submit up to three different works for consideration. You can submit less than three.
- Please follow the prompts and correctly fill out each box indicated on the Google Form.
- Upload (up to three) low-resolution (72 PPI, 750 pixels wide), jpegs or pngs to the Google Form.
- File names for jpegs or png MUST be saved in this format: Artist Last Name_Title-of-Artwork.jpg
