La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, California, showcases figurative and narrative and unusual sculptures made of found objects. Please read the guidelines carefully. The Exhibition will take place from April 5th, 2024 through April 28th, 2024. Artists need to be 18+ years of age to participate.
The deadline to submit work is March 6th, 2024, @ midnight PST.
Artists will be notified by Friday, March 8th of acceptance to the email provided in the form below.
DO NOT EMAIL IMAGES, PLEASE. ONLY SUBMISSIONS THROUGH THE PORTAL WILL BE REVIEWED.
Guidelines
Spec restriction: Free standing artworks may not exceed 9′ in any dimension. Wall hanging artwork may not exceed 40″ in any direction.
Shipping: Artists outside of Los Angeles are responsible for the cost of shipping their work to and from the gallery, including all taxes and duties for international artists.
Do not submit work that is for sale elsewhere.
All artwork must arrive “ready to hang”.
If work hangs off the wall and arrives without hanging hardware, it will be returned and not exhibited. If artwork is free standing, it must be well balanced to sit on a flat service. Let us know if it must hang from the ceiling.
Accepted Artwork: If artwork is accepted, adjustments are not possible.
Acceptance: Artists will be notified by Friday, March 8th of acceptance to the email provided in the form below.
Right of Sale: La Luz de Jesus Gallery will have the exclusive right of sale for exhibited artwork for 30 days after the exhibition’s close.
Payment: The artist and La Luz de Jesus Gallery split is a standard 50/50 split. If artwork sells, the artist will receive a payment within 30 days after the sale or close of the exhibition.
It is the responsibility of the artist to deliver and retrieve their artwork. ARTWORK NOT RETRIEVED BY 2025 WILL BE CONSIDERED FORFEITED BY THE ARTIST.
Filling out the 2024 Open Call Submission Form
- Submit three different works for consideration.
- Please follow the prompts and correctly fill out each box indicated on the Google Form.
- Upload (up to three) low-resolution (72 PPI, 750 pixels wide), jpegs or pngs to the Google Form.
- File names for jpegs or pngs MUST be saved in this format: Artist Last Name_Title-of-Artwork.jpg
