Her watercolors feel like they are dipped in dreams—her figures are baby face kneed women—living their most cute and campy lifestyles. She explores high femme while also discarding gender norms by depicting forms of womanhood with pastel beards, wieners kissed up against thigh-highs or a tooth gap snuck between plum glossy lips.

There are details that pick at 80s nostalgia: patterns like your grandma’s kitchen clothes, 80s cartoon psychedelic trips, lacy nighties, and your ma’s favorite cheap beer. Sea Monster brings a sense of wistful without being sad; a remembering who you were before the world told you who to be.
