Primal Odyssey

Craig LaRotonda’s art exists in a world where the grotesque meets the sublime. His richly layered, mixed-media paintings and sculptures fuse classical influences with a bold, contemporary sensibility. Drawing from Renaissance and Byzantine compositions, LaRotonda creates surreal, figurative works that explore the tension between beauty and deformity, capturing distorted beings in timeless, dreamlike spaces.

This spring, LaRotonda brings his haunting and distinctive vision to La Luz de Jesus Gallery, where his latest body of work will be on view in this highly anticipated solo show, Primal Odyssey.
