La Luz de Jesus Gallery is pleased to present “Glamour Cats”, a solo exhibition by Chicago-based artist Gregory Jacobsen from December 3-31st,2022.

Gregory Jacobsen’s Glamour Cats is a painting series that reveals cats’ fantastical, ridiculous, stately, and sometimes scary side. Inspired by 1980s Glamour Shots and yearbook photos, the work reveals human elements from vulnerability to manic joy. The paintings are meticulously rendered hair by hair, giving them a precious jeweled quality. The glamour and beauty know no bounds!
