We have recently revised our submission policy. Read the following carefully before submitting.

La Luz de Jesus Gallery reviews submissions for our annual group show Laluzapalooza from October 31st to January 31st, and for The Coaster Show from May 1st to July 31st. Scroll to the bottom for the link to the Coaster Show rules.
Size restrictions: only pieces under 24″ on largest side (26″ including frame) will be considered. Artists not located locally may be responsible for the cost of returning their own work. No glass will be accepted. Plexi is fine. All art must have its own hanging or standing mechanism. Paintings must be wired.
No invitation is required. There is no fee. This is an open call.
If you wish to submit work for consideration, you must follow these guidelines and those below. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be considered.
We showcase mainly figurative, narrative paintings and unusual sculpture. Our focus is not abstract expressionism and we are not accepting submissions of video or digital art, photography, edition printing or conceptual installations.
Also, please be aware that because of the large volume of unsolicited submissions we receive, we cannot, and will not, personally respond or offer you a review of your materials.
Artists may submit low resolution (72 ppi, 750 pixels wide), jpegs as unzipped attachments of 3-8 different works. Please submit all in one email.
File names must be saved in this format: LastName_Title-of-Artwork.jpg
Indicate within the body of the email the following info for each work:
Medium (Oil on canvas, etc)
Dimension in inches Width” x Height” (x Depth” -if applicable)
Framed dimension in inches Width” x Height” (x Depth” -if applicable)
$ Retail price range
Include this descriptive info within the body of the email, not as a separate attachment. Also include your complete contact information (your name, mailing address, phone number, email and website address)–even if you think I have it already.
The work must be recent and not have been advertised for sale elsewhere.
Do not submit work that is not available, and please be accurate with regards to framed dimensions and retail pricing, as these are a consideration in our jury process. Clarify your description of media so we know if it’s painted or printed on paper, canvas, wood, aluminum or whatever else. Do not submit “mixed media” as a description; be sure to list the individual materials and/or processes.
Once accepted, adjustments are not possible, and changes are subject to disqualification. Once disqualified, you may be barred from future participation.
These submissions may be sent to: email@example.com with “Group Show 2017 Submission” in the subject line. It is not necessary to send a follow up email. We will get in touch with you before February 14th only if we are interested. Gallery will have exclusive right of sale to submissions accepted for exhibition for a term of six months from the opening date of the show. The split between artist and gallery is a standard 50% deal. It is the responsibility of the artist to deliver and retrieve their art work.
Email submissions that do not follow this format will not be reviewed.
We no longer accept submissions by post or in-person.
If you opt to send materials, they will not be returned under ANY circumstances.
Packages requiring signature confirmation will not be signed for, and we are not responsible for any lost items nor are we obliged to return materials or respond to your inquiry. Please, NO PHONE CALLS or FOLLOW UP EMAILS. If we are interested, we will contact you.
If you do receive feedback, please be gracious, as feedback is rare and valuable –even if it isn’t what you wanted to hear. Prior acceptance does not guarantee future inclusion, but discourteousness virtually assures rejection.
